The 2023 Mazda CX-5 is the citified big brother of the Mazda family. Its little brother, the CX-50, released a few months ago, has a true affinity for off-roading. The CX-5, on the other hand, opts for a distinguished style and exceptional comfort, enabling it to maintain the position it already holds in the hearts of motorists.

It has changed very little for the 2023 model year, remaining as attractive as ever with no significant modifications to its dynamic driving capacities.

Unique color

The biggest news of the year is the arrival of a new color: Rhodium White Premium. What may seem inconsequential is, in fact, big news, since, like Soul Red Crystal Metallic, which has distinguished the CX-5 over the years, this new color is the fruit of in-depth research. Mazda even had to develop a new painting technology, Takuminuri, to create this unique, deep shade.

In combination with KODO design, it has inspired even more refinement in the 2023 Mazda CX-5.

Power and sophistication

As before, under the hood of the Mazda CX-5 lurks a 2.5 L four-cylinder naturally aspirated or turbo engine with power ranging from 187 to 250 hp, depending on the version selected. What’s new is the addition of a cylinder deactivation system as a standard feature. This technology enables the 2023 Mazda CX-5 to reduce its fuel consumption, while still maintaining its exceptional response times.

To ensure solid traction and heightened safety, all versions of the Mazda CX-5 will now come with i-Activ AWD. This system utilizes all of the vehicle’s sensors to guarantee a perfect transfer of power, offering a fresh, dynamic driving experience. Combined with SkyActiv-G, it confers the Mazda CX-5 a level of performance and handling worthy of a comfortable sedan.

Safety on the road

Every 2023 Mazda CX-5 comes standard with advanced safety equipment, such as Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Advanced Smart City Brake Support, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Lane-Keep Assist.
