While the Civic offers a good trunk and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, the slightly smaller Mazda 3 makes up for it with an intuitive layout, superior insulation, and a perceived build quality that’s evident from assembly.
The 2025 Mazda3 comes with the Skyactiv-G 2.5 L engine, producing 191 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque, available with a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission depending on the trim, plus cylinder deactivation technology.
