The Mazda MX-30, Mazda’s first electric vehicle

Mazda MX-30

An all-new electric vehicle will be joining the Mazda lineup this fall. The 2022 Mazda MX-30, which is slightly larger than the Mazda3 Sport, will be fully electric. While you’re waiting for the arrival of this incredible model, Solution Mazda would like to help you discover the wealth of unique features it has to offer.

The 2022 Mazda MX-30: individuality to spare

The 2022 Mazda MX-30 features a unique modern style. Like the Mazda MX-5, with which it shares its prefix, it’s heavily focused on driving pleasure. And like the much-loved but now defunct RX-8, it features rear-hinged “freestyle” doors. The horizontal lines of the interior lend it a feeling of roominess, and a floating center console springs from the dashboard. The materials used in the passenger compartment, all of which come from sustainable sources such as cork, imitation leather and fabric made from recycled plastic, create a sophisticated, peaceful space. Judging by test drives of the prototype, it promises to offer sporty handling, making it more fun to drive than any other electric vehicle currently on the market.

The 2022 Mazda MX-30: a range of more than 200 km

A series of 35.5 kWh lithium-ion batteries will power the electric motor, lending it 107 kilowatts of power, which is the equivalent of 144 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque. Its estimated range is a little over 200 kilometers—perfect for your everyday travels.

The release of the 2022 Mazda MX-30 hails Mazda’s commitment to electric vehicles, as the automaker plans to release a plug-in hybrid of this model, as well as several new hybrid platforms for its cars and SUVs. Are you getting ready to go green, yourself? Stay tuned for the arrival of the all-electric 2022 Mazda CX-30, coming soon to Solution Mazda in Châteauguay.
