Mazda dubbed most reliable brand by Consumer Reports

 

Eagerly awaited each year by automotive bigwigs, the Consumer Reports analysis of automakers ranked Mazda as the top brand for the reliability of its new vehicles.

Mazda edged out its usual competitors, Toyota and Lexus, achieving a score of 83 out of 100. Toyota walked away with 74 points in the reviews of 300,000 vehicles owned by the Consumer Reports members consulted in the auspicious survey.

Compared to the previous year, Mazda went up one place in the rankings, dethroning Lexus, the holder of the number one spot in 2019.

Mazda has the most reliable vehicles

All of the Mazda vehicles were classified as Recommended, according to the monthly US magazine. But among the most cited, the Mazda MX-5 came out on top, earning an incredible score of 98 points.

The CX-30 wasn’t far behind the lead with a score of 95, while the Mazda3 rounded out the top 3 with 87 points. As for the indestructible Mazda CX-5 SUV, it garnered a score of 85. Meanwhile, 7 of the Japanese automaker’s vehicles received scores above 64 points.
