The award for Best New Technology – Innovation 2017, presented by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC), went to Mazda for its G-Vectoring Control, the first technology of the SKYACTIV-VEHICLE DYNAMICS series. Mazda is proud of the recognition and esteem the brand has received for its technological advances.

G-Vectoring Control, which for the moment is the only technology of its kind, regulates engine torque in response to the driver’s steering movements, providing unified control of longitudinal and lateral acceleration forces. In short, it uses to engine to improve the performance of the chassis. Optimizing the vehicle load on each tire enhances its traction, making it more responsive to the driver’s intentions, regardless of road conditions (rain, ice, snow, etc.). As a result, the driver avoids the need to make constant steering corrections, whether on curves or straightaways. Passengers benefit, too, since variations in acceleration are minimized, resulting in a smoother, more comfortable ride.

G-Vectoring Control will come standard on all 2017 models of the Mazda3 and Mazda6. The remaining Mazda models will soon boast this technology, as well. This is great news, given the fact that it can be adapted to any type of driving.
